Where Have All the Good Ones Gone?

A lot of the Gutenberg "events" were set up by individuals in the community who were just using the restaurant as a meeting place. We don't have contact information for a lot of these folks.

If anyone knows who used to set up events such as the foreign language tables, the book events and poetry readings, the Richmond singles group and the non-profit kids' art group... please email that info to RichmondLenore@aol.com. We'll contact people and post the new information and new locations for these events. If you need help finding a new place... you can send an email too and we'll help you look.

The Loss of Cafe Gutenberg, Sunday 2/24/08

Cafe Gutenberg is closing, possibly for good. If this is one of the Richmond places you've grown to know and love, please visit before Sunday, February 24, to thank the owner and the staff for sharing such a fine dream with the Richmond community.

Ultimately we want to keep Cafe Gutenberg open, or help them reopen soon. Richmond will be all the worse for losing such a space. If you know anybody who wants to invest and help keep this Richmond institution alive and thriving... well, below is how to reach them.
